This cafix smoothie is one of the best decaffeinated coffee smoothies that I have ever tasted! If I hadn't made it, I wouldn't have known that it didn't have any actual coffee added.
Cafix contains roasted barely, rye, chicory, and beet roots. That's it! It is 100% naturally caffeine free. So I don't need to worry about getting addicted to the caffeine.
Another nice thing about this product is that I didn't need to brew the "coffee" first. I just add the granules to the smoothie and blended it up. Very convenient.
Here is the recipe that I used. I will keep you posted if I find some more good coffee smoothie recipes.
Cafix Smoothie
3 teaspoons of Cafix (Instant Beverage Crystals)
1/3 cup of raw cashews
1 1/2 cup water
8 dates, I took the pits out
2 packets of stevia
14 ice cubes
I first blended everything without the ice to make sure that the dates and nuts were completely creamed. Then I added the ice and blended again. It made about 3 cups of alternative coffee smoothie. I hope that you like it!
