Protein Smoothies

Searching for ways to drink power-packed high protein smoothies? You've come to the right place!

Hi, I'm DaNae! I've lost over 80 pounds. I share my story in hopes that it could be helpful to someone who is currently in my past shoes and wants to choose a different path of life. In the past, I've struggled with not feeling full after a smoothie. Adding extra protein has helped satiate my appetite and I avoid reaching for a snack later.

I also like protein because it helps avoid losing muscle mass while in a calorie deficit. In high protein smoothies, I aim to reach 50 grams of protein. Don't worry... you don't need to be adding raw eggs, grilled chicken breast, or canned tuna.

In order to do this, I use multiple types of foods to increase the amount of protein in one smoothie. Protein powders are the most common. I like to add my protein powders in the blender only after all the other ingredients are smooth.

The next foods I use are greak yogurt and cottage cheese. They are usually sold in most grocery stores and add a nice creamy texture to a smoothie.

High protein smoothies

Fit Chocolate Protein Smoothie

1 cup (8oz) of 2% milk

1/2 cup (4oz) cottage cheese

1 frozen banana

2 Tablespoons Cocoa Powder

Handful (1oz) fresh spinach

Sweetener of your choice

1-3 ice cubes

2 scoops Chocolate milkshake 100% whey protein powder by Premier Protein

Add all the ingredients and blend completely. Then add the protein powder and blend on low for 3 seconds. You can add extra sweetener if you'd like. I like to use stevia or other sugar free sweeteners like Jordan Syrups (This is an affiliate link where you get 10% off your order).

Happy Blending!
