Question:
I am looking for ways on how to make strawberry smoothies without yogurt. I love smoothies. But I can't digest milk proteins properly. Many of the smoothie recipes online contain some form of dairy.
Do you have any suggestions on different ways to make smoothies without any dairy products?
Thanks so much for all of your great information and smoothie recipes!
Answer:
Jeri,
I completely understand your concern about avoiding dairy. My son breaks out in an eczema rash after eating any kind of dairy products.
Most of the smoothie recipes on this site do not have any dairy products. I did create a section for yogurt smoothies, but 90% of my smoothies recipes are dairy free.
I usually use water or fresh juice for my liquid. But if you would like a creamier smoothie, try using nut or coconut milk. Frozen bananas are also an awesome option.
I hope that this helps you.
Happy Blending!
