QUICK and simple PROTEIN SHAKES for weight loss

Looking for convenient ways to blend up protein shakes for weight loss? You've come to the right place! Hi, I'm DaNae. I've been morbidly obese most of my adult life. I have learned easy habits to apply in my life to help me lose over 80 pounds and keep it off. Adding extra protein has been a big part of that skill.

I'm not one to eat extra meat or eggs. But I do know that it is important to eat plenty of protein in order to not lose muscle mass while losing body fat. Protein powder added to shakes made weight loss so much easier. It helps to satisfy the appetite for longer.

My daughter, Joy, and I had fun formulating these shake recipes for you... even more so drinking them! These protein shakes for weight loss can be used as a meal replacement or for a nice filling snack. If the recipe is to filling, you may want to share with a family member or a friend.

We used a few different protein powders. A key is to find a brand that contains 20 or more grams of protein in each serving with low sugar content. There are many brands on the market that taste amazing. Gritty and grainy protein powder are the worst! I will list the brands that we used... I don't benefit from promoting any of them... for now. *hint...hint...

I know that this will sound a little crazy... Another way I boost the protein levels is by adding a serving of lowfat cottage cheese to my protein shakes. One serving has 12 grams of protein! I don't taste it either! I know... Mind blown!

We also added a handful of spinach in two of these recipes. Don't worry. It isn't even close enough to changing the flavor of the shake. But it will benefit your body on a cellular level.

Also, I almost always try to suggest blending everything together except the powder. Then add your protein for the last few seconds. It will create a denser consistancy and not so airy. But perhaps you like it that way. If so, go for it!

Happy Blending!
