Chocolate-Covered Cherry Smoothie Recipe

by Diane Hamilton

I love this chocolate smoothie that Diane posted for us! She has come up with a way to create a dessert that we can actually drink without guilt. It has fruits, nuts(great for protein and fat), chocolate, along with some omega 3's. This smoothie will satisfy your appetite and nourish your cells.

Just one thing that I would like to add... and I'm sure that Diane agrees... is to make sure to use yogurt without all of the extra refined sugars. Many of the yogurt brands provide products packed with sugar and/or artificial sweeteners. Look for plain yogurt. Then use this yummy smoothie to "sweeten" it up.

Thanks Diane for sharing! Happy Blending!

Chocolate-Covered Cherry Smoothie

1 Tablespoon of almond butter
1 Tablespoon of cocoa
1/4 cup of dates
1/2 banana (or whole if you like it thick like ice cream)
Stevia to taste
1-2 cup of your choice of milk or yogurt(depending on thickness you like)
Ground flax (optional)
Ice cubes (optional.. adds thickness to make it like ice cream)

ENJOY! You'll think you are cheating on your diet!
