How do you lose weight with smoothies?
Question: How do you lose weight with smoothies? How many times did you have a smoothie and what other foods did you eat?
Answer: When I lost all of the weight, I was drinking a quart of
green smoothie a day. Usually, I drink it from breakfast to lunch.
Then I would eat a light lunch. (Ex. leftovers from previous dinner, taco salad, etc)
For dinner, I usually eat normally. Keeping portion sizes in check.
After awhile, on a large green smoothie a day... my body stopped craving the junk that I was eating. So I naturally eliminated soda, chips, ice cream, candy bars, etc. Because my body was receiving all of the nutrients that it needed.
Then, I had cravings to go out walking and exercising. I would go out on a walking path next to our house for 30-45 minutes 3-4 times a week.
With all of the changes that I made to my daily routine... the weight just melted off my body! It is kind of like the domino effect. Drinking green smoothies led to something else that led another change that led to losing weight.
I do have to mention that I started blending my own
chocolate smoothie recipes at home. That really helped me to say "NO" to junk food at the store. If you want more information about changing to a healthier eating plan overall, I would highly suggest that you read Dr. Furhman's book
Eat to Live(Revised 2011). He has very high quality information in all of his books.
