Answer: Stevia is a plant. It's leaves are super sweet. It can be up to 300 times sweeter than sugar! So people make extracts(liquid and powder) with the leaves. And since it's pretty much just leaves, there are no calories. Plus you don't have the side effects that the artificial sweeteners give. I buy mine at iherb.com. I prefer NuNaturals brand.
