I love the book, but what is Stevia?

Smoothie Question: Ok... this may sound stupid. I'll warn you. I am from Canada and I was wondering what is stevia. I don't have the first clue where to find it here. They have stores that sell protein (powered) and all kinds of stuff. Could you please tell me what I'm looking for. ha ha! Thanks!

Answer: No worries... You're not the only one who doesn't know what is stevia.

Stevia is a plant. If you eat its leaves, it tastes very sweet with a slight green flavor.

Now, companies have found ways to remove the green flavor. It comes in both powder and liquid forms.

It is extremely sweet. So use very small amounts in your foods. Another great thing about stevia is that it contains no calories.

I have never bought stevia in Canada, as I have only been there once in Junior High. But you can purchase stevia online at many different websites. I buy my Nunaturals stevia at iHerb.com. They ship health products internationally at low rates.
