How many smoothies should you have a day? Is it healthy to replace breakfast and lunch with a weightloss smoothie?

Great question! To determine if a smoothie is healthy enough to replace meals, you need to know what is in that smoothie.

Many smoothies contain sorbet and a little bit of fruit. Unfortunately, that is dessert... not a good meal replacement. These types of smoothies will probably give you a quick sugar rush and crash.

Most of the smoothies on my site are great for a meal. If you find that the smoothie isn't filling enough, try adding a protein powder, raw seeds, greens, or psyllium husk powder. All of these do a good job at filling and satisfying hunger. Plus, they are very nutritious.

I prefer to enjoy my smoothies in the morning and in the afternoon. Every once in a while I'll blend up my dinner for a busy evening. But you may find a smoothie routine that better fits your daily habits.
