I've battled with my weight for my entire life, just like my father before me. As a child I led an active lifestyle, but as an adult having a job where working behind a computer is a daily occurrence, getting out and being active is a challenge.
Making a change and not giving up...
A year ago, after my father had passed away, I decided enough was enough... so I joined a gym, got a trainer and worked on developing a better lifestyle. Well, thousands of dollars and a year later, I had little to show for my efforts.
So, not wanting to give up, I decided to give another gym a try when my husband and I moved. This time my trainer, who didn't judge me and really seemed to want to PARTNER with me, introduced me to a high protein shake that I have for breakfast, after I exercise, and as a replacement meal at any point during the day.
The shake uses Optimum Nutrition's 100% Whey Protein Gold Standard along with other everyday ingredients (milk, apple juice, fruit) and is so incredibly satisfying that my husband has it for breakfast now. I've even got my mother and sister drinking a shake after their workouts to help reduce muscle ache and recovery time.
In five months I have lost around 25 pounds, over 30 inches and 3% body fat. For me these are results that I can be proud of, at a pace that is healthy and involving lifestyle changes that are realistic.
