A Delicious Strawberry Smoothie Recipe

According to Dr. Fuhrman, who wrote "Eat for Health", strawberries are one of the most nutrient dense fruits. A nutrient dense food must contain high amount of nutrients to the number of calories.

A cup of strawberries contain less than 50 calories! So not only can you make low calorie smoothie recipes, but you also have the option to make it lower fat by using water, lower-fat milk, or ice cream.

Strawberry Smoothie

Strawberries are one of the fruits that are recommended to be eaten organically due to its high residues of pesticides. If you can't afford organic fresh strawberries, you can always purchase the frozen counterpart at a much cheaper price. Our family also loves picking fresh strawberries in the summer to freeze for the rest of the year. Nothing like a sun-ripened strawberry that melts in your mouth!

Strawberry Smoothie Recipe

Easy Strawberry Smoothie Recipe

1 large ripe banana, peeled and sliced

1 cup strawberries, frozen

1 packet of vanilla stevia or other sugar-free sweetener

1 tsp of lemon/lime juice

1 cup of water or milk

3-6 ice cubes

First, pour water and juice into the blender. Second, place the banana on the bottom with the frozen berries and ice on top. Blend on low for 10-20 seconds. Then increase the speed to medium/high until creamy smooth.

Peachy Strawberry Smoothie

1 banana, large

1 peach, pitted

1 1/2 cups strawberries, frozen

1 teaspoon stevia or other sugar-free sweetener

1 tablespoon blueberry vinegar

1 cup water or milk

6 ice cubes

Place all of the unfrozen ingredients into the blender with the ice and frozen fruit on top. Blend away! Serves 1-3

Easy Blender Strawberry Smoothie Recipe

1 banana, frozen

1/2 cup strawberries, frozen

1/2 teaspoon stevia or other sugar-free sweetener

3/4 cup of water or milk

Strawberry Yogurt Smoothie Recipes #1

1 banana, frozen

3/4 cup strawberries, frozen

1 teaspoon stevia or other sugar-free sweetener

1/2 water

1 tsp vanilla

3/4 cup plain yogurt

4 ice cubes

First, pour water and yogurt into the blender. Second, place the banana on the bottom with the frozen berries and ice on top. Blend on low for 10-20 seconds. Then increase the speed to medium/high until creamy smooth. Serves 1-2

Strawberry Shake

1 cup strawberries, frozen

1/4 cup cashews

2 tbsp coconut milk

4-6 dates, pitted and soaked

1 packet vanilla stevia or other sugar-free sweetener

1 cup of water or milk

10 ice cubes

First, pour the cashews, coconut milk, dates, stevia, and water into the blender and blend. Second, put berries and ice into the creamed mixture. Blend until the desired consistency.

Zesty Berry Smoothie

1 large ripe banana, peeled and sliced

3/4 cup strawberries, frozen

1/2 cup raspberries, frozen

1 packet of vanilla stevia or other sugar-free sweetener

1 tsp of lemon/lime juice

1 cup of water or milk

First, pour water and juice into the blender. Second, place the banana on the bottom with the rest of the ingredients on top. Blend on low for 10-20 seconds. Then increase the speed to medium/high until creamy smooth.

Kiwi Strawberry Smoothie

1 cup strawberries, fresh

3 kiwis, fresh and peeled

1/2 cup of mangoes, frozen

1 packet of vanilla stevia or other sugar-free sweetener

3/4 cup of water or milk

3-6 ice cubes

First, pour water into the blender. Second, place the fresh fruit on the bottom with the frozen fruit, ice, and stevia on top. Blend on low for 10-20 seconds. Then increase the speed to medium/high until creamy smooth. Serves 1-2

Strawberry Cantaloupe Smoothie

1/4 cantaloupe

1 banana, frozen

1 cup strawberries, frozen

4 ice cubes

1/2 teaspoon stevia or other sugar-free sweetener

1/2 water

First, pour water into the blender. Second, place the fresh fruit on the bottom with the frozen fruit, ice, and stevia on top. Blend on low for 10-20 seconds. Then increase the speed to medium/high until creamy smooth. Serves 1-2
